Dominique Leblond is a watercolourist from Annecy. She discovered watercolours around fifteen years ago with local guide-painters.
For Dominique, watercolour is a fascinating medium that combines technique with a willingness to accept the unpredictable.
‘Depending on the amount of water, the type of paper, the weather and the nature of the pigments, you get different results that you can never completely control.
All subjects are of interest to her: contrasts, shadows, light, subjects from her natural environment, compositions of everyday objects, or abstract works inspired by music.
She moves happily from large to small format. The colours follow her desires: a view of Lake Annecy on a foggy day is just as exciting to her as a brightly coloured composition.
