Jacqueline Couasnon Muller comes from the Vaud countryside in neighboring Switzerland. During her life she lived in Germany, Spain, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Once retired, the globetrotter left for a long stay in Thailand, where she had the good fortune to meet a Breton artist who owned an art gallery in Bangkok. It was there that she learned the technique of painting on lotus leaves glued to wooden frames, or lotus leaf skeletons glued to canvas supports, using both oil and acrylic paints.
This occupation, which she likes to call “the pleasure of making ordinary things special”, has been her passion ever since. Her works are elegant, refined and original.
